DC Comic’s The Flash first sped on TV airwaves back in 1990. This fun and goofy series only lasted one season and couldn’t cash in on DC’s hit 1989 Batman movie. John Wesley Shipp stared as Barry Allen, aka The Flash.
After 24 years, the CW will give the Flash his second television series. Grant Gustin will reprise his role as Barry Allen from the CW’s show Arrow (Green Arrow).
It was announced that Shipp will be joining the cast of the Flash. I think it is fantastic that Shipp will be a part of the cast. It a great geek tip of the cap to include Shipp. (Via Deadline)
What role will Shipp have on the series? Will he be reoccurring, regular cast, or a one time appearance? These questions are yet to be answered.
