According to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 writer and director James Gunn, there will be 5 post-credit scenes. Gunn revealed this exciting nugget on his twitter account (see below) on Monday evening. He replied to a tweet by Screen Rant that there would be 4 post-Credit scenes. He corrected them with a reply from his twitter account.
The post-credit scenes have been a key piece to Marvel’s movies since 2008’s Iron Man with Nick Fury. Two post-credit scenes have become the norm. This will be the first time with 5 extra scenes.
It seems apparent that some of these scenes will help set the table for Avengers: Infinity War and Thanos attempt to wield the ultimate power of the Infinite Gauntlet with the gems.
I cannot wait to see this movie. It opens on May 5th. It is a must for opening day.
The four “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” scenes that screened for press occur mid-credits.
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” premieres May 5.
@screenrant Well, five, actually. 😊
