Netflix will be creating and showing four original series based off Marvel Comic book character. We reported on this a few weeks ago. The headliner of the group is the Daredevil television show and it will be the first on the Marvel series on Netflix. To make sure this series delivers for both Marvel and Netflix, they needed to place this show in secure hands.
Marvel announced today that Drew Goddard to be Executive Producer and Showrunner. Drew Goddard is most known for his writing of geek movies and television. He worked with J.J. Abrams on shows like LOST and Alias and the movie Cloverfield. He also worked with Joss Whedon with Buffy, Angel, Dr Horrible, and Cabin In The Woods. He Directed Cabin In The Woods. He has produced numerous episodes of Alias and LOST.
Goddard will write and direct the first episode of Daredevil. He will be in charge of the the show and the direction of the series. The Daredevil TV series should be in good hands.
This is very exciting news. I am greatly anticipating this new series.
