I love supporting fun and exciting projects with Kickstarter. These small and independent projects are often the best and most fun. These creators don’t have the backing of big studios or businesses and they don’t often have much of a budget. They rely on regular people to help them fulfill their visions. I love being able to give and promote these small but awesome ventures.
Our friends over at Day 304 Productions have placed this type Kickstarter project. They need help funding their Super KOOL new webseries So Not Super. My awesome friends Gary and Julie at Day 304 Productions need our help to bring this wonderful vision to the world.
SO NOT SUPER is a low budget, quirky comedy that revolves around a ragtag support group for unknown “heroes” with less-than-awesome abilities. Little do they know, group sessions are led by Samantha, a retired A-List hero whose powers mysteriously vanished, and her association with a convicted super criminal hasn’t won her any favors with the GALA of Justice or her super ex-boyfriend, Captain Famous.
Day 304 Productions, known for two successfully Kickstarted steampunk projects: the DIRIGIBLE DAYS WEB SERIES and comic book DIRIGIBLE DAYS: 998 is also self-producing this series, and we are looking for some support to help pay our artists, fund props and costumes and compensate our crew and talent.
Watch the pilot episode NOW!!! Fans of Mystery Men, Dr. Katz, Kick-Ass or The Legion of Substitute Heroes will definitely want to check it out. (Kickstarter)
This video has the first episode of So Not Super inside of it. If you missed it when we originally posted it, here is your chance to watch it or watch it again. I am confident this series will be just as awesome as this first episode.
I found the first webisode of So Not Super to be delightedly entertaining. It is group therapy meets Mystery Men. I love the idea of people will minor abilities. The Legion of Substitute Heroes and Great Lake Avengers are two of my favorite examples of the fun and awkwardness that minor powers can be. This series appears destined to be right up with these comics.
Now let us help Gary, Julie, and the gang, make the best comical super web series ever by supporting them. Make sure to check out their Kickstarter project and spread the word.
Stay Geeky My Friends!
