Hold on internet so you don’t get broken. But it appears that Star Wars: The Force Awakens will have at least one female storm trooper. According to the website Mirror, a girl will wear trooper armor for the new trilogy but there is some speculation on who she is or if there will be multiple ladies in the armor.
When the first trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens came out, there was a lot of hysteria around John Boyega wearing Trooper armor. Boyega is a black actor. The fact that he is black and had on trooper armor almost gave some hard core fans a heart attack. Most point to the prequels where the troopers are all clones so there can’t be black storm troopers never less women.
As a Star Wars fans since I was 7 years of age in 1977, I say that it is time to get over it. The Star Wars Universe it big enough for Storm Troopers of different genders and races. Realize it is pretty KOOL and move on.
If you want to debate me on this then fine. All of the original troopers from the Prequels were called Clone Troopers but by the time A New Hope starts, they are called Storm Troopers. This might imply that things have changed. Some of the expanded universe books have talked about the recruitment process to bring in new recruits for the Empire’s bucketheads. Even if they were all clones in the first two trilogies, nothing says that the Empire has any clones left to make new troopers. The Rebellion kicked their butt on the second Death Star outside of Endor so things can change. There might have been so few troopers and the Empire was on the run, that they had to find other people to recruit. Heck, this might not be the same Empire that we are all used to seeing.
Now change your bad attitudes and enjoy the vision of ladies in Trooper armor. I have seen it at Conventions and it is glorious. I bet these female storm troopers are better shots than the guys, because they couldn’t be worse.
