According to TV Line, the 80s Supergirl~ Helen Slater and the 90s Superman~ Dean Cain have been added to the cast of CBS’s upcoming Supergirl Television series. There particular roles and recurrence of those roles has not been released yet.
Helen Slater was a popular actress during the 80s. She is famous for her roles as Supergirl and Billie Jean from the Legend of Billie Jean. Helen is also the nicest and friendliest professional actor I have ever met. She is awesome as a person and as an actor.
Dean Cain starred in ABC’s Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. He was the last television Superman in tights. He brought a lot of charisma and chemistry with his co-star Teri Hatcher.
Both Dean Cain and Helen Slater appeared on Smallville but not in a reoccurring role. I am hopeful that both Slater and Cain will be regulars on Supergirl.
Here is the known roles so far. Melissa Benoist will be Supergirl/Kara. Laura Benanti will be Alura Zor-El, Kara’s birth mother. Chyler Leigh will play Alex, Kara’s foster sister. David Harewood will portray Hank Henshaw, Department of Extra-Normal Operations chief. Calista Flockhart will be Cat Grant. Jimmy Olsen will be Mehcad Brooks.
