Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have chosen their new Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Tom Holland has been selected to be Spider-Man in the Marvel Universe and Sony’s individual movies. Both studios wanted to go with a younger Peter Parker who will still be in High School.
The next Spider-Man movie will open July 28, 2017. Spider-Man is expected to be in Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War premiering on May 6, 2016.
Marvel and Sony also announced the director for the new Spider-Man movie. Jon Watts, director of “Cop Car, will direct the new Spider-Man movie.
I am hopeful that the new Spidey movie will be called, “Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man“.
