According to Comicbook.com, Marvel does have plans for the Wasp in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kevin Feige stated “We have plans for her (Wasp) in the future, and we see that not-so-subtly in this film (Ant-Man).”
I am not exactly sure what this means but it is good news. The Wasp was a founding member of the Avengers in the comic books. She was left out of both Avengers movies. If she is in the Ant-Man movie, we haven’t seen her at least in costume in the previews and images.
Will The Wasp be Janet Van Dyne or someone else. It could be Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly in Ant-Man movie), Hank Pym and Janet’s daughter? We will have to wait and see what is revealed.
I am glad to here this news. I have always like the character of the Wasp. Marvel definitely could add more female heroes to their movies.
