Over the next month, Missouri will have four very different geeky conventions. Yes, I said four. If you have a spare weekend, you might one to check one or even all of them out.
This coming up Friday, August 7th starts off Kansas City Comic Con which runs through August 9th. We posted about this upcoming and very exciting convention on Geeky KOOL Here. It is a new convention but looks like it has been ramping up for a decade.
Two weeks later on August 21st-23rd, Kansas City is back with another convention. This time it is a Horror convention. Crypticon Kansas City is a killer convention with tons of entertainment guests from a plethora of horror/thriller movies. They will have a indie film festival. If you are a horror fan, this is a can’t miss convention.
Gateway Geek Fest takes us over to St. Louis for August 28th through 30th. This convention is an overall geek convetion. It will have comics, toys, action figures, Cosplay & Cosplay contest, Artists in Artist Alley, entertainment guests, authors, and much more. Check it out.
Springfield will host the one day comic book convention, Rublecon, on Sunday September 6th. We will be posting more on Rublecon in the near future. Rublecon is a small but very friendly and intimate convention. You get one on one time with various local comic creators and geek organizations. It is very fun and entertaining for the whole family.
There you have it. Four very different conventions in the next month in the State of Missouri. If you don’t live in Missouri, I suggest you do an internet search to find conventions near you.
