According to Variety, Nathan Fillion , Alan Tudyk, Gina Torres, and Jewel Staite were at New York Comic Con. During a Firefly panel, they discussed this beloved series and their careers. These cast members displayed their usual witty banter and fun-loving attitude. They make us love this series even more than we already loved it.
Firefly was canceled 13 years ago by the Fox Network. It struggled for rating but the network showed the 11 episodes (13 episodes shot but only 11 ran on Fox) out-of-order and on different dates and times. With Netflix and DVD sales, this series has grown to cult status and then into a fan favorite.
The cast was asked if they would consider a second season of Firefly. Fillion, Tudyk, Torres, and Staite all agreed. But they would only do it if it was “Full time” or the Fox Network would have to recast the series. No one would be happy with that arrangement.
