SPOOOOOONNNNN! Amazon Prime picked up a live action version of The Tick for an original series for their streaming serive. The Tick is a comic character from New England Comics. He is a parady super hero that is super on strength and puny on intelligence. His sidekick is Authur the Moth, even though he is often thought of as a bunny.
The Fox Network ran three seasons of a cartoon version of The Tick starting in 1994. In 2001, The Fox Network aired a live action version of the show. It only lasted 9 episoded but it was critically aclaimed. Amazon Prime will create a new live action version of this series.
The original live action series started Patrick Warburton. Warburton is under contract for a new series, Crowded, on NBC so he will not return to his role as The Tick but will serve as the executive producer. Amazon Prime did cast Griffin Newman as Arthur Everest aka Arthur the Moth and Valorie Currie as his sister Dot Everest.
