Actor Ron Glass passed away today at 71 years of age. Glass is best known for his roles as Ron Harris on Barney Miller and Shepherd Derrial Book on Firefly/Serenity.
Shepherd Book was my favorite character on my all time favorite science fiction television series. He brought morality without condemnation to the wild outer rim. His character uttered the classic line, “If you take sexual advantage of her, you’re going to burn in a very special level of hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater.”
Ron Glass was an awesome actor. The world continues to be sadden by the deaths in 2016. Ron Glass will be mourned.
Rest In Peace Mr Glass.
