Actor Tim O’Connor best known for playing Mia Farrow’s father Elliot Carson on the 60’s soap opera Peyton Place passed away at age 90. O’Connor died on April 5th at his home in Nevada City, Ca, although his death was not revealed until today by the Hollywood Reporter.
O’Connor was a Scifi TV staple going back to an appearance on Rod Serlings “The Twilight Zone” in 1963. SciFi fans will best remember him in the role of Dr. Elias Huer on the NBC series Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. He also played Ambassador Briam during a 5th season episode of Star Trek TNG. O’Connor also had roles in such shows as “Maude”, M*A*S*H*, Wonder Woman, Columbo, and Gunsmoke.
His last appearance on screen was in the 2011 film “Dreams Awake” which he stared in with his former Buck Rogers co-star Erin Grey. He is survived by his wife, son and 3 step sons
