Oz Con in West Plains, MO starts today. Open Ceremonies are at 3 pm. It runs through Sunday with closing ceremonies form 4 to 6 pm. This three day convention focuses on gaming, cosplay and anime. it is put on by the Missouri State University-West Plains Computer Graphics and Programming department as well as the local chapter of ACM (Association for Computing Machinery).
Every year, Oz Con, focuses on a charity to support. This year, Oz Con is supporting the Martha Vance Samaritan Outreach Center. This outreach center provides varies services for the homeless and needy in the West Plains community and a seven county area. These services are needed and Oz Con is helping support them.
