Branson Con day one is in the books and day two is beginning. Day one was a fun filled and excited day.
Geeky KOOL was a part of a group press interview with combined interview with David Eddings (Voice Claptrap in Borderlands) and Kevin Sorbo (Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Andromedia, and God’s Not Dead). Both were amazing guys. We will provide the audio for the entire interview in the next few days for your listening pleasure.
Geeky KOOL did check out the entire floor of the convention. It is very different than last year because it is in the lobby of the Welks Theater. There is a diverse and interesting group of booths with some that I wouldn’t have expected.
The second highlight of my day was the Ripley’s Believe It or Not booth. Ripley’s has Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber (the real one) from Star Wars (A New Hope) and Empire Strikes Back. I got to touch it and hold it (while wearing gloves). It was amazing! You can see me holding it and looking down the barrel like Luke did in Obi Won’s house in Star Wars. Ripley’s in Branson will have it on display in their Branson Ripley’s Believe It or Not until March 23rd.
I attended the Josh Farley mega panel with DJ Panduh. Farley is an amazing magician, who appeared on Penn & Teller: Fool Us. Farley shared a positive message through his illusion and magic. If you get an opportunity see Josh Farley, I highly recommend it.
Later in the evening, I attended the Kevin Sorbo panel which was hosted by the Nerd Informants (if you don’t know Nerd Informants, you need to check them out). It was a great panel with lots of fun questions from the Nerds and the crowd.
Heading out to Day two. I am sure it will be equally amazing.
Stay Geeky!
