A new Firestarter movie is on it’s way from Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions. This is a new adaption of Stephen King’s classic story. Firestarter is set to be released in theaters and on the Peacock streaming service on Friday, May 13, 2022.
An eleven year old girl with pyrokinetic powers fights goes on the run with her family. They are running from a government agency hoping to control her. Her parents Andy (Zac Efron) and Vicky (Sydney Lemmon) have tried to hide their daughter and her abilities. She must learn to control her powers to save herself and her family.
I very fondly remember the 80s adaption with Drew Barrymore.
