Friday was an amazing day at Oz-Con. The convention floor opened at 1 pm. Oz-Con opened the convention with a fun but somewhat brief opening ceremony. The biggest announcement of the ceremony is an Oz-Con Renaissance faire.
I was at the booth for much day. Geeky KOOL shares a booth with A.J.’s Geeky Girlness business. There are tons of prints, stickers, magic wands, toys, and so much more. Hanging with the booth with A.J., Shpoo, and Lex makes me happy. These are my peeps.
I hung out with comic book writer, Cullen Bunn, and former comic book store owner, Josh Roberts. These two amazing gentlemen are so fun to hang out and chat with. Josh broke down all of the KOOL comics that are out now and what he has to sell. Cullen is the hardest working and best current comic writer out there. The Koolest part is I get to hang out with them occasionally.
I was happily surprised by the appearance of Pop Culture Minefield’s Keith Moncrief and his incredible with Melissa. Keith is my buddy and makes me smile. They are here for the weekend checking out Oz-Con. I suggest that Keith join us next year in covering and being a major part of Oz-Con for their 10th anniversary.
I am looking forward to Day 2. Saturdays are always amazing at Oz-Con. We have a couple of fun panels to do that I will cover right here.
