It’s July so that means Pokemon Month for Morgan on GeekyKool has begun! ^_^ Pokémon has been a beloved franchise to me and millions of others for over 25 years now, given us so much in entertainment, happiness, friendships, connections, and confidence.
Each Pokémon generation main series games have new gimmicks. One they introduced in generation 7, Sun and Moon. They are called variant versions, known Pokémon whose looks and typing changed based on changing to the environment of Alola, a tropical island paradise. It was a fresh take on familiar and established Pokémon. They continued to do this in generations 8 and 9.
Here are my favorites.
Top 10 Pokemon Regional Variants Forms:
- Galar Ponyta
- Alolan Riachu
- Alolan Ninetails
- Alolan Sandscrew
- Hiasian Growlithe
- Galar Wheezling
- Galar Zigzagoon
- Alolan Muk
- Hiasian Lillgant
- Galar Articuno

Educator of young minds by day, super nerdy savior of justice, and cute things by night, Morgan Straughan Comnick has a love for turning the normal into something special without losing its essence. Morgan draws from real-life experiences and her ongoing imagination to spark her writing. In her spare time, she enjoys doing goofy voices, traveling to new worlds by turning pages, humming child-like songs, and forcing people to smile with her “bubbliness.” It is Morgan’s mission in life to spread the amazement of otaku/Japanese culture to the world and to stop bullying; she knows everyone shines brightly.
