I love Bob World Builder and his videos on Youtube. Bob’s site is about having fun playing Table Top Role Playing Games. Bob has a great discussion about the new 2024 Dungeon Master’s Guide. He specifically discusses the clarification that the Dungeon Master does have to allow the Rules Lawyers to take control and to remove the fun of others. This section of rules is also on the free portion of DND Beyond for all players and DMs.
The four principles in the new DMG are the following:
1) Rules Aren’t Physics
2) The Game Is Not an Economy
3) Combat is for Enemies
4) Rules Rely on Good-Faith Interpretation
I love every bit of that. It is meant for fun.
