Actor Richard Chamberlain passed away at 90 years of age, just hours before turning 91 years old. He died from complications from a stroke.
Chamberlain came into fame for his role as Dr. James Kildare on the 60s television drama, Dr. Kildare. He was Simmons in the Towering Inferno. He was the adventure hero, Allan Quatermain, in King Solomon’s Mines. In the 80s he became known as the king of Miniseries. He was Major John Blackthorne aka Anjin-san in the 1980 Miniseries, Shogun. Chamberlain played the priest Ralph de Bricassart in the Thorn Birds.
