Marvel and ABC have confimred the identity of Grant Ward. We believed Ward was left behind of the mysterious planet during the mid-season finale. He showed up at the very end of the episode and he was changed. He appeared to have a tenicle.
Ward’s character is always in flux on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The first season, Ward was the stereotypical lead action hero. By the end of the season, we found Ward was a double agent for Hydra. He became a rogue agent with no true alliences. At the beginning of this season, Ward has been busy taking over parts of Hydra. Now his character is evolving both as a character and physically.
After a confrontation with the alien on the other world, Ward changed. He may be more alien than human. He is now the Marvel character, Hive.
I am looking forward to the new evolution of both Ward and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
