Convention season is here. In Missouri, we have three amazing conventions coming up later this month. It is a great time to be a geek and nerd.
Oz-Con is coming up in less than two weeks in West Plains, MO on April 22 to April 24, 2022. This is a great smaller convention. Oz-Con is a gaming, cosplay and anime convention . All of the proceeds of the event to the Child Advocacy Center. Geeky KOOL will have six representatives at this convention including two that will get married on the Stage on Saturday evening.
Planet Comicon Kansas City is the same weekend as Oz-Con, April 22 to April 24, 2022. It is a large convention with a ton of celebrity guests. Planet Comicon Kansas City is one of the largest and mostly highly anticipated conventions in the Midwest. It is a shame that Planet is the same weekend as Oz-Con.
VisionCon in Springfield, MO is the next weekend, April 29 to May 1, 2022. VisionCon is Southwest Missouri’s premier pop culture convention, which has been around since 1990. This family-friendly convention features comic books, science fiction, fantasy, cosplay, live action role playing, gaming, and so much more! As a nonprofit organization solely run by volunteers, VisionCon is put on every year so that fans can get together and have some fun while also raising money for local charities.
