Microsoft has announced that for the next year, they will be giving away an update to Windows 10 to all Windows users. It will be available sometime in the summer. This new version of Windows will have the best parts of Windows 7 and Windows 8 (Windows 9 died before being released). It will have the wonderful price tag of FREE.
This make a ton of sense for both Microsoft and Windows users. Microsoft took a beating with users for their Windows 8 version. The majority of the public didn’t like the “titles” and the lack of a “Start Menu”. Microsoft must have seen the logic in giving it away and keep their grip as the top computer OS on the computer market.
But what about the users who have a “Pirated” version of the windows OS? From Microsoft’s point of view, these users have been stealing from Microsoft and many for years. Microsoft has a couple of choices going forward. Either be firm that you will only upgrade those with officially registered versions of Microsoft Windows or open it up to all users even those pesky pirates.
According to Gizmodo and The Verge, Microsoft will give away Windows 10 for the next year to anyone with a device that will support it. Yes, they are giving it away to even to those pesky pirates. Let all of your software Buccaneers know that Microsoft wants them to have Windows 10 for free without having to steal it.
