Arrow continues to add more superheroes to their roster. They have now brought in J.R. Ramirez to be Ted “Wildcat” Grant, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Wildcat is an interesting character to add. In DC Comics, he is most associated with the older heroes of the Justice Society. He was a former heavy weight boxing champion. He was a brawler with a golden heart. He often trained the younger heroes how to fight hand to hand. He was instrumental in the training of Black Canary.
Since J.R. Ramirez isn’t older, it will be interesting to see how they handle his character. He will be an ex-boxer who runs a runs a gym for underprivileged youth.
There is speculation that Wildcat could train Laurel to take over as Black Canary.
