Thanos the Mad Titan brought together all of the Earth’s Mightest Heroes, the Avengers. The fate of the half of the Universe is at stake for our heroes. Citizens of the Earth turned out to watch them on the big screen last weekend.
Avengers: Infinity War brought in an estimated $258.2 million domestically over the weekend. This surpassed the reigning domestic weekend king, Star Wars: The Force Awakens with $248 million. World wide, Avengers: Infinity War also dominated. It brought in an estimated $640.9 Million. This amount would have been higher but Avengers: Infinity War has not opened in either Russia nor China. How much larger could have this amount been with both countries opening weekend? The amount blows away the previous champion, The Fate Of The Furious, which brought in $543M. The weekend world wide total is not far from Justice League’s world wide box office totals$658 Million. Avengers: Infinity War is expected to make over 800 Million by the second weekend.
