Billie Lourd, Carrie Fisher’s Daughter, Sports Hair Buns for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It clearly pays homage to Princess Leia from the original Star Wars. Little to nothing is known about her role in this movie but she is not Princess Leia’s daughter.
Lourd is known for her role as Chanel as on the television series, Scream Queens.
In an interview with People, Lourd stated her mother’s character, Princess Leia, is a strong female role model. After watching the original trilogy with her mother, Lourd realized women can be as strong as men.
“When I saw the [original] movie for the first time, I noticed my mom was not only equally as confident and strong as the men, she was one of the most confident characters in the entire film,” Lourd said. “It made me realize women are just as powerful as men and that we can truly do anything they can – if not more!” (legionofleia)
