The Daredevil run with writer Mark Waid, artist Chris Samnee, colorist Matthew Wilson and letterer Joe Caramagna is one of my favorites. In my mind, this Daredevil run is the best since Frank Miller’s run in the 80s. This creative team brought a new perspective to Daredevil and a strong and enjoyable storyline. Daredevil was no longer the perceptual brooding hero in the mold of Batman. He still had his dark side but didn’t constantly live there.
Now this great creative team joins Black Widow with Black Widow #1 due out in early 2016. She was not a part of the original announced books for the All-New All-Different Marvel lineup. Now she has one of the top creative teams in comics.
This comic takes place several months after Nathan Edmondson and Phil Noto’s previous run from earlier in the year. All of the Marvel series ended with Secret Wars/Battleworld. Many of those comics are getting a new start.
According to Samnee, there will be a new big bad in this series. Natasha has faced a variety of villains over the years. But none are truly an arch-enemy.
I cannot wait to see what Waid and Samnee bring to Black Widow. This should be an awesome ride.
Natasha is one of my favorite Marvel Characters. She is mysterious and a spy while trying to amend for her past. My daughter shares a name with her.
