ARS Technica has posted news that CISPA, the controversial law giving companies the ability to share information about users with the government and each other without any threat of action if they do so wrongly or with malice, has, for now, gone down in defeat in the US Senate. CISPA passed by a wide margin in the House of Representatives, 228 – 127, but faced staunch opposition in the Senate where they won’t even vote on the measure.
