One of my favorite parts of Planet Comicon Kansas City is the panels. The panels start on Friday with the first panels starting at 2:30 pm. The go well into the evening of both Friday and Saturday. The final panels start on Sunday afternoon at 3:30 pm.
There is always a great variety of KOOL and geeky subjects and panelists. You have the large panels in the Grand Ballroom with the celebrity guests. If you want to hear David Tennant or Christopher Lloyd or Ann-Margret, then the Grand Ballroom panels will allow you to hear them speak.
There are tons of other panels out there. There are panels about supernatural hunting, how to create comics, how to use foam to make props, Storytelling, Cosplay, Disney, and just about every geeky subject out there. If you want to learn something geeky, then there will be a panel for you.
Panels are a great way to take a seat as your feet will hurt from walking the showroom floor all day while you have a chance to learn or see someone you are interested in. I always plan out a bunch of panels that I am interested in. I don’t attend all of them but I attempt to go to several during the convention. On Sunday, I will hit several because I will be exhausted from the great weekend.
