Comic book artist Steve Lightle passed away at 61 years old. He died from cardiac arrest stemming from COVID-19.
Steve started his career in comics in 1984 for AC Comics. He went on to work for both DC Comics and Marvel Comics. He is best known for his cover art and his interior art for Legion of Super-Heroes and Doom Patrol. He was the regular cover artist on the Classic X-Men comics of the 80s.
I met Mr Lightle a few years back at a convention. He was a very pleasant guy with a smile on his face.
Rest in Peace Steve Lightle. You will be missed.
