Missouri Comic Con will have comic book creators. It is funny how rare that is when they are referred to as a comic convention. There are four featured guest comic creators.
Michael Golden is a comic book writer and artist. He is best known for his work on The ‘Nam and Micronauts. His work in the late 70s got the attention of many of us young fans at that time. Arthur Adams stated that Golden is one of his influences for his art.
Renée Witterstaetter is a talented creator, who had numerous hats to wear. She had been a colorist, editor, producer, and writer on comics. She started off working as an assistant editor on Superman. She worked on the Avengers, Spider-Man, and She-Hulk, She is best known for her work as an editor with Marvel Comics and specifically with the great John Byrne on She-Hulk. Witterstaetter was written into the script for She-Hulk.
Comic book artist, Arthur Suydam, has worked on several comics for both Marvel and DC. He is best known for his art on Marvel Zombies, Deadpool, Black Panther, and KISS Zombies. He also worked on magazines like Heavy Metal, Epic Illustrated, and National Lampoon.
Jeremy Clark is best known for his inks. According to his website, Clark is passionate about inking. He knows how it compliments the penciled illustration. He has refined the art of inking comics. He has worked for all of the major and some of the smaller comic companies on some big-name projects.
These are exciting comic creators. I am excited to meet all of them this weekend. Come out to Missouri Comic Con to meet them all.
