19 year old Chris Romberger is the proud owner of the first comic book vending machine (at least in the United States). He is a teen with Down syndrome that owns his own business. He and his job coach had this custom made vending machine created so Chris could own a comic book business. Here is a link to a video from CBS 3 in Philadelphia. (CBR)
I love this idea. A comic book vending machine makes a lot of sense. It would keep the overhead of running a comic book business to a low level. It would allow people to try comics without having to go to a comic store. Comic book stores can be a very KOOL place but they can be very intimidating to new comic fans especially girls.
This idea could revolutionize the print comic industry.
