We are incredibly saddened by the news that David Faught lost his battle with cancer and passed away. He died Sunday morning April 3rd at 12:05 am in Springfield, MO.
David was a special amazing guy. He was an incredible artist whose passion for beauty in life transposed into his awesome art. He was an amazing friend who was concerned about everyone even when he was facing his own mortality.
David was a dear friend to Geeky KOOL and honestly a part of the Geeky KOOL family. He allowed us to interview him several times. He was always encouraging our work on the site and giving us positive encouragement. David along with Elana Ervin were our first guests on Geeky KOOL Presents: Professor and Ace.
As an artist, David’s style was beautiful. He loved to draw beautiful women while always being thoughtful. I have several comic books that David created the covers and some comics with his interior art work. I also have framed Faught art on my wall and a Faught calendar hanging in my office. These are all treasures.
David had been suffering with this fight with cancer for a while. Our hearts are broken that he is no longer with us. We will not see him at conventions happily drawing and talking to people while making time to chat with us about life or going to get a bite after the con. But I am prayerful for his rest and peace from this hard battle.
Always by David’s side helping and promoting him was his sister Christy. Christy, we love you. You are always a part of the family here too. We are here to help anyway we can.
Rest in Peace my dear friend. I know we said no tears but I cannot help it as I write this.
