We knew that DC and Warner Bros are making a shared universe for some of their superhero movies. After all, Batman and Superman are sharing a movie and guest starring other heroes like Wonder Woman. But there were rumors that other super heroes might be in a different universe such as Captain Marvel/SHAZAM. According to the
DC Comics Blog, they are most definitely a shared universe just like from “other publishers” (aka Marvel).
This confirms that Captain Marvel aka SHAZAM could become a member of the Justice League in one of the movies. It also substantiates that the Suicide Squad will be taking place in the same universe that Batman will go against Superman. It gives hope that the Cyborg movie will be KOOL and not a lame attempt at an African American hero like Steel. As a comic fan, this gives me great hope for the future of DC Comic movies.
This news doesn’t surprise me. It makes complete sense. DC has seen the success that Marvel/Disney has had with their shared Marvel Heroes. A completely shared DC Movie Universe only makes logical sense to me.
