Today is DC Fandome. and there are so many trailers and news items being released, that I have decided to compile them all in one easy to read blog.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow – First Up, we get a nifty recap of the first 100 episodes of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow in 100 Seconds
Titens Season 3 Finale trailer. Brenton Thwaites who plays Dick Grayson/Nightwing, was on hand to introduce the trailer for the season 3 finale, he also shared that there WILL be a Titans Season 4, although the release date was not announced. The season 3 Finale will air on October 21, 2021.
Young Justice Season 4 – Season 4’s trailer for the animated teenage superhero was shown today along with the unexpected announcement that the first 2 episodes are now available on HBO MAX. New episodes for season 4 will be released each thursday.
Static Shock/MilestoneComics – Static and the rest of Milestone comic fans rejoice. Static along with Icon, Rocket and Hardware are getting a new Animated Movie. this is the first Milestone comics adaptation since the 2000 cartoon series. There are also plans to do a live action movie being scripted by Randy McKinnon(Grand Army), as a joint production between Warner and Michael B. Jordan’s production company, Outlier Society.
DMZ – HBO MAX released more information and images for their 4 part adaptation of DC Comics DMZ. The series will be set in NYC, and feature the 2nd US Civil War between the United States of America and the Free States of America. The rule of law is being dictated by “the most powerful person at any point in time”. The series will star Rosario Dawson as Alma, Benjamin Bratt as Parco Delgado and Hoon Lee as Wilson. Delgado character who takes power who believes that no one can challenge him on that if he says it “with enough resolve.” Wilson, on the other hand, wants everyone to make “truly free choices in the DMZ,” and loves the “patchwork of gangs and tribes and outfits” that come of that.
Naomi – This is a new series that will be on the CW, staring Kaci Walfall in the titular role of Naomi, who is obsessed with Superman. When she learns that Superman is an adoptee like she is, she wants to learn more about her adoption, and discovers she is from an alternate Earth.
Batwoman – Batwoman season 3 trailer was released. It has a very retro feel to it. In season 3 Batwoman’s Ryan wildergets to “team up with “sometimes” psycho villain Alice. while the retro look of the trailer was cool, this series has never had the ratings to continue on the CW. PS the trailer is getting savaged on Youtube in the comments.
Stargirl – DC recapped the last episode, and gave a sneak peak at the rest of season 2, where Courtney/Stargirl is trapped in a black and white purgatory by Eclipso and Mr Shade. We get an our first look at original JSA member Dr. Midnight as well. This second season entitled “Summer School” seems to be hitting on all cylinders, and the second half, looks really good
DC’s League of Superpets – a sneak peak trailer of the Animal Animated Movie that is scheduled to hit the screen next year, stars Dwayne Johnson as Krypto and Kevin Hart as Ace. The full trailer drops next month
The Sandman – The Netflix series written by Neill Gaimen, has released its first image of Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer. This follows the release of the first trailer last month where Rodrick Burgess(Charles Dance) talks of summoning and imprisoning Death. However after offering a coin made of stone, a feather from an angels wing and his own blood, he doesn’t summon Death, or his Family Members Desire, Destiny or Despair, he actually summons Dream of the Endless(Tom Sturridge).
Catwoman Hunted – We get our first look at the new animated movie “Catwoman Hunted” which is scheduled to be released on February 8, 2022. Catwoman has to help capture 10 criminals in order to get the worldwide interpol warrants against her dropped.
Blue Beetle – we got our first look at the Blue Beetle suit in the series that DC and HBO Max are fast tracking for release. The film will follow Mexican American Jamie Reyes, the third person to don the suit.
Batgirl – DC shared some concept art of the suit that Barbara Gordon will be wearing as Batgirl. The film will allow Barbara to explore the duality in her personality, a more daring side, that she never had the chance to show before.
DC Animated films – DC announced 4 new animated films in addition to Catwoman Hunted. Starting in the spring, there will be a team up between Teen Titans Go and DC’s Superhero Girls. In the Summer we will get a Green Lantern Movie called “Green Lantern:Beware my Power. In the fall we will get the first FULLY CG animated movie “Battle of the Super Sons”. IN the Winter we will get a complete edition of Batman:The long Halloween released in 4K. There is also a new Constantine short released early in the year where Matt Ryan(live action Constantine), will reprise his role.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom – We got a sneak peak at filming for the long awaited Aquaman sequel(4 years), starting Jason Momoa and directed by James Wan. The behind the scenes footage is cool to look at, all the major stars of the first film are back for the sequel. The movie will come out on December 16, 2022.
Peacemaker – We got both the release date and first full trailer of James Gunn’s Peacemaker series, the first spinoff from his 2021 movie Suicide Squad. Peacemaker played by WWE Wrestler John Cena, is a guy who LOVES peace with all his heart, no matter how many people he needs to kill to achieve it. This will explore his origins. Gunn wrote all 8 episodes, and will direct 5 of them. the series hits HBO MAX on January 13,2022

Shazam:Fury of the Gods – we got a behind the scenes look at the sequel to Shazam staring Zachery Levi in the title role, and we get introduced to the villains played by Helen Mirran as Hespera and Lucy Liu as Kalypso. With Villains of that magnitude how can this NOT be another hit?
Black Adam – The anti hero former member of the JSA, who was supposed to appear in the first Shazam film, before he got his own movie title, will finally hit the big screen on July 29, 2022. Black Adam played by Dwayne Johnson, has origins going all the way back to ancient Egypt, and a rivalry with Hawkman, who is also from ancient Egypt. We know that JSA members Dr. Fate played by Pierce Brosnan, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman and Nicolas Centino as Atom Smasher will be in the film.
Suicide Squad:Kill the Justice League – This Rocksteady game finally has a trailer. you can play one of four characters(Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang or King Shark). Originally sent to Gotham to stop an alien invasion, the mission gets changed by Amanda Waller, to the games title. It looks interesting, check out the trailer.
Gotham Knights – Warner Montreal RPG game, occures in a world where Bruce Wayne/Batman and Jim Gordon are both dead, and the Bat Family consists of Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl and Red Hood. The trailer shows Nightwing talking to Penguin who is explaining about the the deadly secret society “The Court of Owls. The gameplay shows all the Batfamily along with multiple Talons(The Court of Owls assassins). You can play as 1 character or switch between them. This is a multiplayer game, but it has a maximum of 2 players, so you can play either in single player mode, or with a friend.
The Flash – We get the first trailer from the stand alone Flash movie which is set up in the DC’s Flashpoint era. The movie stars Ezra Miller as The Flash, Michael Keaton as Batman, Ben Affleck as his version of Batman, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, and Miller as another version of The Flash. The movie will hit theaters next year. I can’t wait for this to hit the big screen.
The Batman – The newest iteration of Batman, staring Robert Pattinson released a new trailer today. This movie takes place in Batman’s 2nd year as the caped crusader, and he is full of rage. The murders are committed by Edward Nashton AKA “The Ridler”. Zoe Kravitz plays Selena Kyle”Catwoman”, Andy Serkis as “Alfred”, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot AKA “The Penguin” Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham DA “Gil Colson”. There is footage of the Bat Signal, and more scenes of the batmobile.
