According Moviepilot, Disney is planning a minimum of three Star Wars Spin off movies but could be numerous movies over time. Disney seems to make these type of announcements at their Quarterly Stockholder Meeting. Bob Iger used the terms “at least three” when referring to the spin off movies that appear to be scheduled in between the main Star Wars movies (new trilogy of movies).
It is very interesting to me. George Lucas spent three years in between making the original trilogy. It seemed like forever before I would get more Star Wars as a kid. But this almost seems like Star Wars overload. I can expect to see a new Star Wars movie every year for at least six years in a row. It will be a test if too much of a good thing is really a bad thing or not.
I love my Star Wars but I am not sure how I currently feel about this news.
