Emil Johansson did too and created The Lord Of The Rings Project to build a huge genealogy tree from all the information he could gather from Tolkien’s books.
A work in progress, Johansson is working with Shaun Gunner with The Tolkien Society to try to accurately place every character mentioned in the books and appendices in the tree structure.
