According to Comicbook.com, 20th Century Fox maintains the rights to the Fantastic Four movie franchise. Amidst the rumbling about Fox trading the rights to Fantastic Four to Marvel for the rights to bring X-Men based characters to television, the truth came out. Comicbook.com confirmed the falsehood of these rumors with 20th Century Fox.
These rumors hit after Fox and Marvel announced working together on two new X-Men based television pilots. Fox and Marvel’s feud and bad blood has become notorious. Fox required Marvel to agree and possibly work with them to bring live action X-Men based characters to television. Many speculated this would never happen unless Marvel received something in return like the rights to the “First Family of Marvel”, The Fantastic Four. The evidence points to these rumors being false. Humorously, I predicted that Marvel and Fox would make a trade like this months ago (here).
With Fox and Marvel working together on two new television series, I have high hopes for both series will be picked up and will be awesome.
Federal agents take on the secret organization of the Hellfire Club in the Fox Network’s “Hellfire”. The Hellfire Club was in the movie, X-Men: First Class. The Hellfire Club has a long history with the X-Men world including kidnapping Jean Grey and helping her embrace the Dark Phoenix.
Legion will be on the FX cable network. David Haller hears voices and visions. Is he mentally ill or seeing real visions? In the comics, Legion is Professor Xavier’s son and power is unpredictable and often out of control.
