Disney and Lucasflim has been planning for multiple Star Wars movies. We will get a new Trilogy and some individual movie (possible Han Solo and Boba Fett movies). Today, it was announced that Gareth Edwards will direct the First Standalone Star Wars movie.
Gareth Edwards is a fairly well known writer, special effects artist, and director. He directed the great critic acclaimed movie, Monsters. His latest directing hit is currently the number #1 movie in the U.S. with Godzilla.
This stand alone movie is scheduled to open on December 16, 2016. We don’t know what character(s) will be featured in film. But we do know who is directing.
