It is 10:3o AM on Saturday May 7, 2016. It is Free Comic Book Day. The Comic Cave in Springfield, MO opened their doors at 10:00 AM. There is a line back three stores down to get into the Comic Cave after it has already been open for thirty minutes.
I brought My fifteen year old daughter and seven year old son with me. We wait in line, not so patiently for my seven year old, to get inside to check out the awesome freebies and comics.
While waiting in line, we check out all of the people wearing KOOL geeky outfits. Some of the kids were dressed up and wearing capes. A ghostbuster hangs around by the door. We check out his sweet ghost bustin car.
I ran into the awesome literary genius, EM Ervin. She was standing in line with her son waiting for free comics. Talking to EM is always a pleasure. She is so awesome and wonderful. She is always free with her smiles and hugs.
The geeks came out in full force for free comic books day. I had to leave the line for an emergency but did return to a couple of comic stores 4 hours later. The outside lines were gone but both stores were buzzing with activities.
