When you can do a good deed, you always should. Today Ashley and I did a good deed. The two dogs in this picture are named Draco(sitting in front of myself) and Steele(sitting in front of Ashley). They were both adopted from the Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter(PRAS) located in the city of Newport News. Today we paid a visit to the shelter, because this weekend is their Betty White Adoption Event. In honor of Betty they have dropped adoptions down to $25 per Dog and $20 per cat. Well we decided to make their adoption event even more successful, because we “paid it forward”. Ashley and I donated $400 to pay for all the adoptions this weekend up to that amount. So that means the first $400 dollars in adoptions will be free to the families that get their “furever friends” this weekend. Now is this post a bit “Self Serving”, of course it is. Good deeds should be talked about, because they seem to be few and far between these days. The Shelter staff spoiled our pups with toys to take home, and I know the families we help get that pet, will also be grateful.
