According to Fox 2 in St. Louis, Gotham City in the new Batman series coming to Amazon Prime, Batman: Caped Crusader, is based off of St. Louis. The series uses a map of St. Louis as a reference to Gotham City. In the trailer, Batman and Alfred are looking looking at Gotham City but clearly based on St. Louis.
This isn’t the first time that the map of the St. Louis is used for Gotham City. According to MeTV, the 1960s live action Batman series showed a Lucite Map of Gotham City, which is a close-up map of downtown St. Louis.
Batman: Caped Crusader is coming to Amazon Prime on August 1, 2024. All 10 episodes can be downloaded on the first day.
