Marvel’s new Secret Wars has created some interesting new characters and comics. Some of them are moving into the One of the All-New, All-Different Marvel Universe. Gwenpool is one of those characters.
Gwenpool is a female version of Deadpool. The Gwen Stacy of that world becomes a merc with a mouth. She is able to kill the bad guys, keep a sense of humor, and keep her outstanding style.
Gwenpool’s introduction appearance in the All-New, All-Different Marvel Universe is with the new HOWARD THE DUCK series. She will appear in the backup story in the first three issues.

Gwenpool receives her own holiday special with GWENPOOL SPECIAL #1. She attends a holiday party thrown by She-Hulk. Deadpool, Hawkeye (Clint Barnes), Hawkeye (Kate Bishop), and Ms Marvel are the other party guests. It reminds me of a few of the Marvel 1980s Holiday Specials.
When I started reading comics, Spider-Man was my main comic. I loved Gwen Stacy. I cried when I read her death issue (not sure I had an original or a reprint- wish I had it in Mint Condition). I re-read that comic until the comic fell apart.
I appreciate bringing Gwen back as Spider-Gwen (Gwen is bitten by the Spider- Spider ability). But I don’t have the same appreciation for a Deadpool version of Gwen. It just seems wrong.
