Ten Years ago today, one of the greatest television series ever premiered. Firefly was a space western but it was so much more. It was a show about misfits that became a family on a spaceship. It was about a future that is not bright but they make it through just like we do today. It was a masterpiece from the mind of Joss Whedon. Too bad the television viewers were not ready for it and Fox didn’t have the vision how to promote this series.
I sit here writing this while wearing my brown Firefly t-shirt. I decided to include a few videos to honor today’s anniversary.
The first video is the theme song. Oh it takes me back. I need to break out my DVDs again.
Jaynestown is my favorite episode. This episode is also Adam Baldwin’s (Jayne) favorite. Adam sings the Ballad of Jayne- The Hero of Canton.
This Youtube video has clips from Firefly. They focus on some of the best quotes from the series. I laughed all the way through.
