Happy St Patrick’s Day! I hope everyone had a great and safe St Patty’s Day.
I took some time today to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and my Irish heritage. I took my family and join Bryan’s family for a celebration at Dublin’s Pass in Springfield, MO. It was wonderful food on a very busy night for this Irish Restaurant and Pub. My Bangers and Mash were phenomenal.
My grandmother was an O’Brien. Irish runs in my blood. I heard stories from my Great Grandmother about some of the attitudes and discrimination against the Irish back in the day. She had some funny stories about some of the perceptions of others. That side of my family was always proud to be Americans with an Irish heritage and I loved it.
