Anyone who know me personally can attest to my love of geek tee shirts. In the summer, I wear these shirts continually (except to church). I have several different types including Firefly, Star Wars, Doctor Who, and comic book shirts. If you ever catch me at a comic convention, you will see me in a geek shirt. In fact, I am wearing a Yoda Christmas shirt as I write this.
My family draws name for Christmas presents. We make a list of our desired presents so the lucky person with our name will know what to get us. For the last few years, I have listed Marvel Super Hero tee shirts on my Christmas list. Every year my family lovingly tries their best and excitingly pick me up DC Comics tee shirts.
This year I decided to help out my family a little further. I gave them examples of some of the Marvel Superhero characters. I informed them they might want to look for Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, the Avengers, or the X-Men. I believed this information would lead to a score of tee shirts with Marvel Characters.
I did receive two superhero shirts for Christmas from my family. Both of the tee shirts were Justice League shirts. I had to laugh to myself as I thanked them for my gift. They just don’t understand the difference between Marvel and DC. I guess I should expect non-comic fans to get the difference. But they never get it right even by accident.
One of the tees displayed Superman, Batman, Flash and Green Lantern as a limited Justice League. The other shirt had a full conglomerate of DC heroes and villains and cleverly pokes fun at each one (see the image at the top of the article).
I do really like both of these superhero shirts. I will wear both with great pride. I just prefer Marvel Characters to DC characters. Spider-Man and all of the Marvel Characters have captured my imagination more than the DC characters. But still, they are geeky and KOOL.
I received several great tee shirts this year. My friend Jill bought me a fantastic Doctor Who tee shirt. My wife gave me an amazing Spider-Man shirt so I did get a Marvel Tee after all. My sister bought me two super KOOL Star Wars shirts along with the Justice League tee shirts. My closest has become full of geeky tee shirts and I am excited to wear them every day.
