Suzanne Collins, author of the Hunger Games novels, is set release a new prequel novel in the same universe of Panem. It will take place in the “Dark Days” of Panem which takes place about 10 years after the war. It happens right after the reaping for the 10th Hunger Games.
Lionsgate is in discussions with Collins about a potential movie based from the new novel. They released the original movies which were very successful for them. This could be a win-win-win for Collins, Lionsgate, and the fans.
The novel is set to release on May 19, 2020. I am sure there will be a line. I bet my daughter will be picking it up after it is released.
