In 1972, Apollo 17 crew was able to get the first full picture of the Earth. It was known as the Blue Marble because the Earth looks like a giant marble. The original Blue Marble image is the most reproduced image.
The New Blue Marble image above is the first full Earth image from the DSCOVR satellite. DSCOVR satellite is a venture with NASA, the U.S. Air Force, and NOAA.
