Oh, J.J. Abrams, how you LOVE to tease us…
So, yesterday Larry posted about the mysterious J.J. Abrams video entitled “Stranger” and that no clue was given about what it was related to in terms of film, television, game, etc.
Today some enterprising intertubes users realized that a few years back said J.J. announced that he had an idea for a book that was described as:
At the core of this multilayered literary puzzle of love and adventure is a book of mysterious provenance. In the margins, another tale unfolds—through the hand-scribbled notes, questions, and confrontations of two readers. Between the pages, online, and in the real world, you’ll find evidence of their interaction, ephemera that bring this tale vividly to life.
Said book is titled simply, “S.” and is due to be published by Mulholland Books in October of this year. Search for it on Amazon and you can pre-order but no cover is shown and the only info is a bio on Mr. Abrams and that the author is Doug Dorst.
Could this be the beginning of the online connection to the story? Only time, and Bad Robot, will tell….
