Jesse Eisenberg is best known for movies like The Social Network, Zombieland, and Adventureland. He often plays a character that is social inept and is a lovable loser. Lex Luthor is not this type of character. But Warner Bros/ DC have chosen Eisenberg as the next Lex for The Man Steel sequel (aka Batman VS Superman)
There have been a ton of rumors about potential rumor actors to portray Luthor. Some of these rumors included Joaquin Phoenix and Denzel Washington. The big rumor had been of Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston taking on the Lex Luthor mantle.
This is another surprise casting for this movie. Many people were shocked by the news of Ben Affleck as the next Batman for this movie. Eisenberg is almost as shocking of an announcement as Affleck.
